Fine sandpaper letters glued to card
Cut lowercase letters from fine-grade sandpaper and glue to stiff card, vowels on one colour, consonants on another.
Trade-off: Getting the letterforms right matters — trace a printed cursive or print guide.
Use the same script your child will be taught to write. Consistency matters more than which script.
